Dr. Richard D. Trent is named as President

The first president, Dr. Richard D. Trent, began his tenure on March 3, 1970.

The method of planning for the college and selection of its first president were unprecedented in the history of the Board of Higher Education. (…) Seven members of the Bedford Stuyvesant Coalition on Educational Needs and Services served on the Presidential Search Committee.

    Dr Richard was my grandfather and I’m his granddaughter and after reading this I was able to learn so much more about his life it’s truly amazing about how smart and cool he was
